Pedigree: Erglanzen is sired by Exeter who is by Equubar/Equuleus. Exeter was 2nd in his stallion class at Devon and enoyed a sucessful show jumping career under Nancy Lake. Equuleus is a representative of the Eindruck (E-Line) noted for production of Dressage horses. in fact, Equuleus was imported back to Germany by the Celle State Stud for their breeding program to preseve this line. |
| Erglanzen is out of Penara by Pascha, a German sire of Dressage horses imported to stand in the USA. Pascha descends from the famous Pik As xx line that gave the Hanoverian Breeding Program the all time Dressage greats Pik Koenig and Pik Bube. Pascha is the sire of FEI Stallion Prefix who stood and competeted in the USA. This blood in the dam side is very good for the combination with W-line stallions as Werona would prove. The grand dam Denar Lou is by Denar who brings forward the blood of the Hanoverian D-line through Duellant. this bloodline is internationally noted for its production of Stallion sons, States Premium Mares, and International Dressage Greats. Denar Lou when bred to Graf Goetz produced very good AHS foals, one of which was marked a stallion candidate. | |

Both Denar (in mother line) and Equuleus(in sire line) were imported to North America by Fritz Floto as foundation sires establishing the breeding of Hanoverians on the North Americancontinent. The North American get of these stallions includes the AHS Elite Stallion sons Equubar, Tanzenlicht, Atmon cm and Sahara. MSB mares include Desiree and Etoille. Equuleus was imported back to Germany for the State Stud to continue his line where he unfortunately stood briefly and then passed away. |

In 2001 Erglanzen gave us Werona by Werbellin. At the NEDA CDI-W Breed Show Werona won the $2,000 New England Breeder's Futurity. She was 2nd in the fillies 2001, Reserve Champion Filly & Devon Qualifier, High Score Oldenburg NA horse of the Breed Show and AWS Champion/Gold Medal winner. At her registry inspection Werona wowed the audience with her airy trot and great impulsion from behind, true to the Werbellin offspring. German Judge Karsten Kuehl scored her 8.5 conformation/type, 8.5 movements, 8.5 overall, Premim Foal and Site Champion. Werona is one of the nations highest scoring OLNA foals in 2002. She was also recognized in comment as top Premium at her dam's RHPSI approval. |
