Gwenivere Gwenivere is a black Oldenburg Mare by Giovanni out of Waltz Over by Snows Over. She is approved with the ISR/Oldenburg NA and is eligible for the G.O.V. She is also registered in the Performance Registry of the AWS. She stands as an approved mare in the Star Awards program of that organization.
Gwenivere is out of the famous Catch on Fire & Bonne Nuit Bloodlines. These bloodlines are noted in America for A+National winning hunters, and included is The Schreiber, Canadian Sire of IAN MILLER'S War Machine, a Team Mount for the Jumpers.
This performance mare successfully evented and was shown for the Sporthorse in-hand. At the NEDA CDI-W Breed show in 97 she won the Non-European Class and was 2nd in the AHSA Mature Mare Class for Maiden Mares. She holds the Blue Preferant (premium/approved) AWS status scoring 78.5% and has many inspection and in hand awards. She is unflappable in temperament and a joy to be around, very correct, & with a good foundation, showing the old lines in her Oldenburg pedigree. |
| Pedigree: Gwenivere is by Giovanni v.Gepard v. Gottard. Giovanni was trained and shown by Frank Chapot as a show jumper. Sheila Sanders of Millbrook, NY now owns the black Hanoverian stallion Giovanni and was the breeder of Gwenivere. Giovanni's sire is the jumper stallion Gepard. GEPARD is owned by Paul Schockemohle and is a European sire of many approved stallion sons. His most noted sons in the USA are Hanoverian Hunter sire "All The Gold" and "Gonzo" and Gaylord. For many years Gepard is at the top of money list for S level- Jumpers in Oldenburg. He also is noted as the sire of stallion sons; Gecko, Gerald, Gonzo, Genial, Grand, Gepardi, Golden Diester, Gran Chaco, and more. Gepard is out of the top ten eternal German sire , Gottard.
Geniviere is out of Waltz Over by Snows Over. Waltz Over is by Avittare v. Schreiber, a noted top level Canadian sire of Jumpers, the most famous of which is Ian Millers War Machine. The Damline of Waltz Over includes the lines of Catch on Fire, Bonne Nuit, and Schreiber. Snows Over was a champion Hunter Conformation mare and Waltz Over is the Dam of TB and Warmblood Sporthorses including Jaynelle Tenors, Peaceful Waltz, and the Dam of N.J. bred Hunter Champions Olivia and Oliver. |

| Gwenivere's second foal
was Celline by Contucci. Celline made a spectacular showing at
her Inspection to make the final ring and ultimately the Premium
award. She went on to the AWS inspection to a score of 78% and noted
comments suspension, lift, and elasticity seen, expressive kind eye, well
balanced, good proportions, shows willingness & eagerness, good
energy. At the NEDA-CDI-W breed show CELLINE came 2nd in the fillies
2000 class under Olympic Woycheck Markowski and USA Bill Solyntzes.
Noted comments: gd muscling & joints, freedom in shoulder, nice

Gwenivere's first colt is the Black Imperial Dark Legend, son of Rex. He also made the Blue Preferant status in his inspection and won the Gold medal. He won his class at NEDA CDI-W breed show with a score of 79.9% under Lilo Fore & Anne Gribbons, and placed 11th at DEVON out of a class of 42 colts. |
