Widor

Widor is a 16.2 hand bay registered Westfalen stallion by Weltruf out of Fidelia by Fruhlingstraum. Fruhlingstraum is the sire of Nadine Capellman's Olympic gold medal winning Farbenfroh. Like his famous relative, Widor has an exceptional trot, with outstanding ability to lengthen his stride without rushing and to collect to piaffe without losing his rhythm. In the 2001 show year, he completed his first season at Prix St. George/ Intermediate I. He finished 15th in the highly competitive USET Intermediate selection trials and was the third highest placing stallion. He was twice FEI High Point Horse at major shows in CA, with scores to 69% at I-1. He also garnered numerous year end USDF awards including Vintage Cup Champion Prix St. George and Reserve Intermediate. The Westfalen Horse Association awarded Widor the Reserve Prix St. George and Champion Intermediate. Widor has been schooling the new Grand Prix test.
According to Pan American Games gold medalist Donna Richardson what makes Widor special is his attitude. "He is always willing to try, never gets frustrated or angry when learning something new, and he is the gentlest stallion I have ever worked with. One day our painter's five year old son wandered off. We found him, of all places, in Widor's stall. The little boy was standing next to Widor, petting the stallion's leg -- which was all he could reach -- while Widor softly arched his neck over the boy's shoulder and snuffled his back." Isn't this the disposition we should be breeding for? Donna adds, "And it doesn't hurt that in addition to his sweet nature and athletic ability, Widor is extremely comfortable to ride in all gaits. A fact I appreciate more and more as I get older".
Widor is owned by Ulla Bassalleck and stands at Windsong Dressage Center in Edgewood, NM.
PURITANO

Puritano by Palisander out of a Dacapo mare is a 17 hand chestnut Westfalen stallion approved by the Westfalisches Pferdestammbuch in Germany and imported to the US. Puritano is a powerful uphill mover with excellent conformation and lovely form over fences. His offspring have won numerous titles in hand, in dressage, and as hunters and jumpers. His foals inherit his size, athleticism, strong topline, and his fabulous disposition. Puritano is owned by Trilogy Farm.
Prestige

1997 bay, 168cm (16-2 hands) Silvano N – Goodtimes – Ahorn Z – Ronald – Cor del la Bryere – Anblick xx)
Approved: KWPN, Swedish

Prestige was approved for Dutch breeding by the KWPN on April 2, 2003. Prestige is already approved in Sweden. His first foal crop in Sweden in 2002 proved to be fantastic foals doing well at the shows with good character and temperament.

Almost a 100% Holstein bred Dressage Stallion, with a good front end and powerful gaits.

His sire, Silvano N, has been successful for years under Ellen Bontje in the highest level of the dressage sport, and is the stallion that has won the most medals in the Dutch, European, World Championships and Olympic Games. His son, Scarlatti, was successful in the Grand Prix of Milan.

We find in the sire line all-purpose breeding stallions such as Goodtimes, Cor de la Bryere and Anblick xx, who also sired many good dressage horses such as Lucky Times, Colandus and Venetia. In the dam line we see Ahorn Z and Ronald, both of which always guarantee quality.

Out of this Holstein family number 456 are found many approved stallions and excellent performing horses like Rigoletto, Capo, Cabinet I, Cabinet II, Lambado, Milano, and Freestyle, who won the Grand Prix in Achen.

Prestige became Champion of the Stallion Test in Sweden at the age of 3, with the following points for the basic gaits: 8-8-10. He received from the Fremdruiters a score of 9 for gaits and a 9 for his dressage capacity. At the age of 5, he received the 6th place in the finals of the Breeders Trophy, and won all five qualifications. He is now participating with success under Christa Laarakkers in the Stallion Competition.

His rider, Christa, and trainer, Jacques Laarakkers, speak highly of Prestige for his zest for work and his capacity for passage and piaffe.

Prestige has a great front and powerful gaits, something we need in dressage breeding.

Prestige: Dressage Stallion for the big work, and with performance breeding.

Lanciano

He already counts as one of the influential breeding sires of the new millennium; Lanciano has accomplished more in his earlier years than many others. A breeding line like his could not easily be found in other parts of Europe. Lanciano is at the forefront of the riding horse breeding programme and his offspring attract attention wherever they appear: Noble and superior, they demonstrate superbly elastic trots and always have great presence. They are popular horses who look striking.

Lanciano’s descendants leave no doubt as to their market value: The prices that have been paid for Lanciano offspring put them in the top league Last year, Lanciano foals sold for DM56,000 and DM50,000 proving to be the 'cream' of the 1999 St Ludwig sales. Another of his foals realised the highest bid at the CHIO Sales in 1998. However, in 1997 Lord Sinclair a son of Lanciano, was sold for DM2.8 million at the PSI sales, thus demonstrating the true market potential of this stallion and his line.

Although extremely striking as foals, Lanciano’s offspring perform equally well under saddle. Much has been said about their movement and alround riding qualities. Lanciano’s descendants are much admired. Lanciano was awarded 140,25 points at his stallion testing (champion in riding qualities) and his youngsters are similarly impressive under saddle: Some have won in their own stallion testing, others have won area championships, not to mentions the twice-national and HLP champion “Lord Sinclair”. Lanciano, when only aged 9 years old, was already the father of 8 graded sons. The most prominent of whom, was the champion of the premium awards in Oldenburg. At the north Rhine Westphalia grading, 2 further youngsters were granted the highest grading certificate. One was a striking horse owned by world-class dressage rider and expert Sissy Max-Theurer from Austria. At the grading in Heming, Denmark, a young stallion by Lanciano stood out due to his presence and movement.

Registered with Hann - 31-00715-83
Scored a 9.0 in his 100 day test in Ability to Work, Rideability, Trot and Canter. Due to this performance, in combination with a convincing first crop, as well as his impressive appearance (type & trot), he was awarded the title of Main Premium Champion Stallion in Oldenburg in 1987.
18 Approved sons and 26 State Premium Mares
His first batch of foals brought 4 approved sons, among them Feinbrand, the first vice champion, and Fair Play, the second vice champion of the 1989 stallion approvals in Oldenburg. Fitz Roy and Feinter Herr impressively highlighted their sires' covering debut by being sold at the Vechta Autumn auction. The true-to-type mare Kiruna caused a stir in 1991 by winning a I-e state premium. Not to forget, Feinbrand was the Oldenburg champion 5-year-old dressage horse in Rastede. In the meantime, Feiner Stern has become a purveyor of top priced lots at the Verden and Vechta auctions. The FN breed value lists Feiner Stern with a strongly secured breeding value for dressage, which counts him among the top sires Germany-wide.
Freiherr is probably the most prominent son of the famous foundation sire Furioso II. The dam-sire Goldstern sired versatile and uncomplicated performance horses. His offspring are very popular among riders. The grandam, Ramona, produced a number of good sporting horses, i.a. Pegasus, Kastellan, Kaprizio and Gonzo. Iroko's first offspring was born in 1994. His children show the same reflexes in the jump as their father and their types are also as beautiful as Iroko himself.

Iroko's son Milton finished 3rd in the World Championships for dressage at Arnhem in 1999 and Nashua is successful in dressage with his rider Gerdine Maree.

In 1999 Iroko is one of the leading sires of the showjumping index with 142 points.
Granddam Ricke is a daughter of the famous Remus I, son of the legendary Radetzky who won international S-level dressage competitions under Mr. Kukuck. Remus has become famous for his progeny such as the top dressage stallions Romandour II and Renoir. This is the line that produced the great dressage sire Rubinstein.

At his performance test in Ermelo, Iroko was described as a very typical riding type stallion, with a lot of blood and quality.

In jumping he proved to rank amongst the best of his year and received two 9's for free jumping and jumping under saddle. With his rider Jur Vrieling, they were reserve champion at the 1.30m class of the "comin stallion" in 1996.
